Gloucester - City & Historic Docks
The Pirate's Treasure - Can YOU Follow the Trail?
Local builder Jack Knife was hard at work refurbishing an old warehouse in Gloucester Docks. As he swung his sledgehammer into one of the walls, it collapsed to reveal a concealed chamber just large enough to hold a skeleton and a wooden chest!
His hands trembled as he lifted the lid from the chest to reveal an old notebook and rolled up parchment. The parchment was a map showing the location of a previously unknown island in the Bristol Channel, and the notebook was a series of clues leading the way to a spot on this island where something of value was stashed.
The notebook also revealed that Captain Ruby Redhead (presumably the skeleton!) had been a successful pirate. Legend has it that her last voyage ended at these docks, but she arrived penniless… very strange for such a profit-making pirate?!?
Can you solve these clues and discover what Ruby stashed?
