Legend has it that during a siege in 1646, Lady Bankes of Corfe Castle threw her priceless jewels down a well to keep them out of the hands of the enemy. But did she really? Rumours suggest that the treasure was actually given to a loyal maid, Isla Stashit, who buried it somewhere in Corfe. Now, after centuries of mystery, an ancient map has been discovered, and The Exploration Society needs your help to uncover the long lost loot.

Join us for a fun-filled, self-guided treasure hunt through the picturesque village of Corfe and its iconic castle. Starting at the National Trust car park, you'll follow clues that will lead you to the location of the buried treasure. Along the way, you'll pass quaint tea shops, learn about the castle's history, and see where Lady Bankes defended her home against Oliver Cromwell's troops during the Civil War.
